Women's Soccer Duo Earn USC All-Region Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced its NCAA Division III All-Region Teams on Tuesday afternoon. Concordia Wisconsin landed two Falcons onto the All-Region VIII Teams. Carmen Rowe was voted to the second team and Brooke Braga was named to the third team.

Carmen Rowe

A senior defender from Copley, Ohio, Carmen Rowe is claiming her second USC All-Region honor. She was also voted to the third team in 2022. Rowe anchored one of the region's strongest defenses. With Rowe at the back line, the Falcons posted seven shutouts on the year against Lawrence, Lake Forest, Rockford, St. Norbert, Marian, Concordia Chicago, and Dominican. In 13 of the 19 matches this year, opponents were held to one goal or fewer, despite the strong non-conference schedule. Rowe was a constant presence for the Falcons playing in 1611 of the 1730 minutes of the season. Rowe earned her fourth-straight All-NACC honor in November.

Brooke Braga

A senior goalkeeper from Belgium, Wisconsin, Brooke Braga is claiming her first USC All-Region honor. Last month, Brooke Braga was the first player to ever be voted as the NACC Goalkeeper of the Year and collected her third All-NACC honor. Braga started all 19 matches this season and finished with an 11-5-3 record. The Belgium, Wisconsin native only allowed eight goals while posting four shutouts in NACC play. Braga contributed to seven shutouts on the season, with six solo shutouts against Lawrence, Lake Forest, St. Norbert, Marian, Concordia Chicago, and Dominican plus a combined effort with sophomore Kara Claussner against Rockford. The shutout over St. Norbert broke the career record for complete match shutouts. Braga finished the year with 131 saves and posted double-digit save totals on five occasions, including a season-high 16 in the NACC Tournament Quarterfinals.

These two are the first honorees for Concordia since the three selections in 2022.
