Jacey Read Recognized as NACC Offensive Player of the Week
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) released its Student-Athlete of the Week honors for women's soccer on Tuesday morning. Jacey Read was voted as the NACC Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for Women's Soccer by the league's athletic communications professionals.
A freshman from Carbondale, Colorado, Jacey Read is claiming her first NACC honor.
Against Marian, she showed off her speed and scored two goals on four shots.
She then scored the game-winning goal against Concordia Chicago in the 80th minute.
This is the second NACC weekly honor for the Falcons in October. Senior Brooke Braga was voted as the NACC Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 6.
Read is the first Falcon to claim the offensive honor since Selena Esten on Sept. 24, 2023.
Sarah Grimmett of Dominican was selected as the NACC Defensive Player of the Week.
The Falcons return to action on Saturday in a battle of two of the best teams in the NACC at Dominican.
