VERONA, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's soccer team was finally able to return to play on Saturday evening after a lengthy weather delay at Edgewood. The Falcons earned another three points in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference standings with a 3-1 victory at Edgewood.
After a few shots were blocked the Falcons' first shot on frame came in the 18th minute off the boot of junior Autumn Snow (Cedarburg, Wis.).
The Falcons had another quality opportunity before halftime with a pair of shots in the 43rd minute with a shot saved for freshman Jacey Read (Carbondale, Colo.) and a blocked shot for freshman Hailey Wittow (Menomonee Falls, Wis.).
The Falcons wasted no time getting the ball into the back of the net when Autumn Snow found junior Brei Rozmiarek (West De Pere, Wis.) streaking down the first and Rozmiarek scored from around 12 yards out 33 seconds into the half.
Senior Sheridan Dorge (Winnipeg, Manitoba) redirected a shot from senior Sabrina Moore (Park Ridge, Ill.) in the 50th minute.
Sabrina Moore put the bow on the victory with a late goal when she stole the ball and charged down the field to score.
The Falcons held a 19-16 advantage in shots on Saturday night.
Autumn Snow led the CUW attack with four shots.
Senior Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) had seven saves in the victory.
The Falcons return to Fitting Field on Wednesday against Marian.
