Women's Soccer Secures Six CSC Academic All-District Selections
MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's soccer team had six student-athletes named to the CSC Academic All-District Team. The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Concordia Wisconsin women's soccer team landed a program record six selections in 2024. Senior Anna Gong (Phoenix, Ariz.), senior Carmen Rowe (Copley, Ohio), senior Bella Rapp (Grafton, Wis.), senior Brooke Braga (Cedar Grove, Wis.), senior Sabrina Moore (Park Ridge, Ill.) and sophomore Lanie Czerkies (Joliet, Ill.) all earned the honor.
The six selections are the most allowed for a team. The previous record was three selections in 2022.
This is the second time that Brooke Braga has claimed the honor, claiming the honor in 2022.
Anna Gong has now appeared on four CSC Academic All-District Teams in 2024 and 2023 with women's soccer and appeared on the CSC At-Large Academic All-District Teams for women's lacrosse in 2024 and 2023.
The duo of Brooke Braga and Carmen Rowe advanced to the CSC Academic All-America Ballot
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 11, 2024.
