Breanna Thomson claims NCHA Defensive Player of the Week honor
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association awarded Breanna Thomson the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week tile after posting a perfect weekend.
A senior from St. Marys, Ontario, Thomson is claiming the honor for the first time in her career.
On Friday, she broke the program record for career shut outs with 24 saves in a 3-0 victory at St. Norbert.
She kept the Green Knights off the scoreboard again on Saturday with 27 saves in a 5-0 victory.
Thomson is currently riding the longest shutout streak in program history.
Thomson and the Falcons return to action on Friday at Aurora.
