Men’s Volleyball Broke Many Program Records

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's volleyball team soared to new heights in the 2022 season. The Falcons finished with a program record of victories at 12-11 on the season and had a program record of conference victories with an 8-4 record in the NACC.

The 2022 season also marked the first winning NACC record for the Falcons in their young history with victories over St. Norbert and Benedictine to close the regular season/

The Blue and White once again advanced to the NACC Tournament in 2022.

Sophomore Spencer Herman of Appleton, Wisconsin also became the first Falcon to claim AVCA/NVA All-American honors when he claimed honorable mention honors in April. He was also named to the AVCA All-West Region Team.

Senior James Althoff of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Spencer Herman earned All-NACC honors on the season.

Spencer Herman broke multiple school records on the season with 33 kills on 66 attacks for 33.5 points against Marian. He also hit a blistering .680 against Millikin. Herman also broke the school record of 357 kills on the season and 4.35 kills per set.

Freshman Logan Kebisek had a program record of 54 assists against Benedictine. He also finished with a program record of 816 assists.

James Althoff finished the season with a program-record 41 service aces. At Emerson, he became the NACC's all-time leader in kills.

Spencer Herman was a three-time NACC Offensive Player of the Week selection and the AVCA National Player of the Week on Jan. 25. Freshman Lucas Beres of Germantown, Wisconsin, was also named the NACC Defensive Player of the Week on March 20.

The Falcons look to continue to soar higher in 2023.
