Lucas Beres Named NACC Defensive Player of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its student-athletes of the week on Tuesday morning. Lucas Beres was voted as the NACC Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of March 14-20, as selected by league's athletic communications professionals.

A freshman from Germantown, Wisconsin, Lucas Beres is claiming the honor for the first time in his career. He is also the first Falcons to ever claim the defensive title.

The Wisconsin native was a wall at the net for the Falcons on their trip out east. He finished the week with 22 total blocks, with four solo blocks and 18 block assists. He also picked up 10 digs on the week.

Beres finished with a career-high eight blocks at Emerson and Endicott.

Offensively, he had 23 kills and a service ace.

George Kougan of Dominican was voted as the Offensive Player of the Week. 

Beres and the Falcons compete again on Wednesday night at home against Lakeland.
