Men’s Volleyball drops NACC match at Lakeland

PLYMOUTH, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin played well in the third set, but it wasn't enough at Lakeland on Saturday afternoon during a 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-19) decision inside Woltzen Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons offense struggled all match, but deep into the third set, they scored five-straight points to take a 17-15 lead and force a Muskie's timeout. The more experienced Lakeland program responded by scoring 10 of the next 12 points to earn a sweep.
- There were seven scoring ties and three lead changes in the third set.
- Freshman Sam Rovik (Silver Lake, Wis.) led Concordia Wisconsin with eight kills and seven digs, while freshman Matthew Korman (Roscoe, Ill.) had 16 assists.
- Freshman Josh Dinkelman (Glenview, Ill.) served a pair of aces and freshman Will Driver (Mokena, Ill.) had two block assists.

THE OPPOSITION
- Jacob Deener led all players with 10 kills. Addison Mertler and Cameron Ekum assisted on 15 and 13 kills, respectively.
- Desmond Williams had eight kills, three digs, two solo blocks and five block assists.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin travels south for non-conference matches at Fontbonne on Friday at 7 pm and at Greenville on Saturday (March 10) at 1 pm.
