Men’s Volleyball drops NACC opener against MSOE

MEQUON, Wis. – In the first-ever night of NACC Men's Volleyball, Concordia University Wisconsin was swept by MSOE at the R. John Buuck Field House Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons played their most competitive set in the third, falling 25-18 against the Raiders. CUW had its most productive set hitting in the opening set, attacking at a .071 percentage. The Raiders opened the night with a 25-14 win and cruised in set two, 25-8.
- Will Driver (Mokena, Ill.) finished the match with three kills for the Falcons, while Zach Smith (Massillon, Ohio) and Sam Rovik (Silver Lake, Wis.) each tallied a pair. Isaac Glynn (Byron, Minn.) handed out six assists for CUW.
- Glynn added five digs, while Matthew Korman (Roscoe, Ill.) paced the Falcons with six and Josh Dinkelman (Glenview, Ill.) added two.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- This is the first season of NACC Men's Volleyball and Friday night was the first scheduled conference games of the 2018 campaign. Marian was leading Lakeland 2-0 at the time of this release and the battle of nationally ranked teams (Benedictine and Dominican) was postponed due to weather.

THE OPPOSITION
- MSOE, which hit .354 for the match, was led by Griffin Dunn. Dunn tallied nine kills and an impressive .571 attack percentage.
- Jacob Bentz played his part in setting up the Raiders attackers, dishing out 29 assists.

UP NEXT
- The Falcons will host Lakeland in another NACC match tomorrow afternoon. The contest is set to start at 1 p.m. at the R. John Buuck Field House.
