NEWSWORTHY NOTES
• THE FIRST YEAR:
While it may be the first year for Concordia Wisconsin in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, most of the other teams in the league were previously in the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League for many years, including MSOE. Last season, the Raiders were 16-3 in the Western Division of the MCVL, which was good for second place.
• NACC PRESEASON POLL: MSOE was picked to finish second in the NACC Preseason Poll and received three first-place votes, while Lakeland was chosen to finish fifth and Concordia Wisconsin seventh.
• SCOUTING MSOE: The Raiders have played just two matches to this point and split both two weekends ago. Bryant Holland was named NACC Player of the Week on January 29 after racking up 24 kills and a .364 attack percent in a pair of matches.
• SCOUTING LAKELAND: The Muskies are 2-1 in their last three matches and have been led by Addison Mertler who is third in the NACC with 210 assists this season.
