Service notes: Falcons host triangular on Friday

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin hosts its third and final triangular of the season on Friday, with Fontbonne and Maranatha Baptist scheduled to play inside the R. John Buuck Field House. Match times are scheduled for 3, 5 and 7 pm.

NEWSWORTHY NOTES
• BALANCED OFFENSE:
Concordia Wisconsin's offense has been balanced through eight matches this season, with five players smashing double-figure kills. Sam Rovik leads the team with 44 kills, while Will Driver has tallied 23 kills of his own.
• SCHWANDT TOUGH AT THE NET: Blake Schwandt is making it difficult on the opposition at the net this season, with 21 total blocks through eight matches. He has four or more total blocks in three matches and recorded a solo block three different times.
• SCOUTING FONTBONNE: The Griffins played just two matches during the month of January and will work their way towards the month of March that features 16 matches. Last season Fontbonne finished 10th (17-10, 4-9) in what was the 14-team MCVL.
• SCOUTING MARANATHA BAPTIST: The Sabercats return to Mequon after going 1-1 during a triangular on January 19. They took the Falcons to five sets, with Derek Wallis posting 19 kills and 12 digs. Joel Depue had 29 digs, while Tim Kile and Matt Wetzel combined for 41 assists.
