Men’s Hockey Winning Streak Snapped in Overtime

MEQUON, Wis. – The four-game winning streak for CUW came to an end on Saturday evening with a 3-2 loss in overtime to Finlandia. The Falcons earned a point in the NCHA standings.

Senior Nick Guerra (Victoria, B.C.) scored four minutes into the contest from assists to senior Braydon Barker (Red Deer, Alta.) and freshman Jordan Guiney (Victoria, B.C.).

Braydon Barker became the program's all-time leader in points with 80 on the assist.

The Lions leveled the game less than two minutes later.

Finlandia took the lead with a goal halfway through the third period.

With less than two minutes remaining, senior Nick Guiney scored on the power play from assists from Nick Guerra and Braydon Barker.

The visitors from Michigan took the game with a goal 29 seconds into overtime.

Junior Bo Didur (West Vancouver, B.C.) had 25 saves on Saturday night.

The Falcons return to play on Wednesday against MSOE.
