Men’s Hockey topped at MSOE

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Raiders jumped on the Falcons early and defeated the CUW men's hockey team, 5-2, on Wednesday night. MSOE remains unbeaten on the year at 4-0-0 on the year with the victory and sends CUW to 1-6-0.

The Raiders opened the game with a goal 25 seconds into the game.

The Red and Black added another goal 48 seconds later to extend the lead.

Senior Cole Pickup (Victoria, B.C.) found the back of the net in the first period off passes from freshman Tyler Pang (Victoria, B.C.) and sophomore Alex Way (Ottawa, Ont.).

Alex Way tied the game on the power play in the second period with a short-angle shot after skating around the back of the MSOE net. Junior Bo Didur (West Vancouver, B.C.) fed in the pass to Way.

The Raiders responded with two-straight goals within 27 seconds to regain the lead.

MSOE added to its lead late in the second period on the power play.

Bo Didur finished Wednesday with 34 saves.

MSOE held a 39-36 shots advantage on Wednesday night. Cole Pickup led CUW with five shots.

The Falcons return to action on Friday night at Marian.
