Adrian edges men’s hockey on Tuesday

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Concordia Wisconsin men's hockey team fell short on Tuesday night at Adrian. The Bulldogs improved to 4-4 on the year with a 3-2 victory. CUW moves to 0-2 on the year.

The Bulldogs took an early lead with a goal in the first and second periods to take a 2-0 lead into the third period.

Sophomore Michael Fradette (Victoria, B.C.) put the Falcons on the scoreboard with a steal and a shot past the Adrian goaltender on a two-on-one advantage.

The Bulldogs scored the game-winning goal with 1:04 remaining in the game.

Junior Cory Dennis (Madison, Wis.) made it a one-goal game with a shot with 29 seconds left off passes from senior Luke Ranallo (St. Paul, Minn.) and senior Nick Guiney (Victoria, B.C.).

Junior Bo Didur (West Vancouver, B.C.) collected 53 saves on the night.

Adrian outshot CUW on Tuesday, 56-31.

Luke Ranallo led CUW with six shots on goal.

Concordia killed off all three penalties on Tuesday night.

The Lake Michigan Cup is on the line this weekend with a pair of games against MSOE.
