Five Falcons Secure All-SAA Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced its All-Conference Awards on Wednesday afternoon. The Falcons landed three first-team selections in AnnaLyssia Abela, Emily Binley and Lorri Pitock. Paige Armijo and Abby McGue earned second-team honors. Emily Binley was also named the SAA Defensive Player of the Year.

Emily Binley

A junior from Suffolk, Virginia, Emily Binley is appearing on her first All-SAA Team. She is also the first Falcon to be named the SAA Defensive Player of the Year. Binley finished the year with 162 saves and six shutouts on the season.

AnnaLyssia Abela

A junior from Dearborn, Michigan, AnnaLyssia Abela is making her first appearance on an All-SAA Team. Abela helped anchor the CUW defense and secured two defensive saves, while also scoring three goals.

Lorri Pitock

A junior from Naperville, Illinois, Lorri Pitock is claiming her second All-SAA accolade with a second-team appearance in 2019. Pitock scored three goals and four assists on the season for the Falcons.

Paige Armijo

A freshman from Reseda, California, Paige Armijo is landing on the All-SAA Second Team for the first time. Armijo led the Falcons in scoring in 2021 with 16 points on seven goals and two assists.

Abby McGue

A sophomore defender from St. Louis, Missouri, Abby McGue is a first-time All-SAA selection. She led the flock with six defensive saves and anchored a tough CUW defense. McGue also scored a goal and added five assists.

The five selections are the most in program history.
