MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The CUW field hockey team wrapped up regular season play on Sunday at Rhodes. The Lynx locked up a 5-1 victory to send the Falcons to 7-10 on the year.
The Falcons struck early on Sunday when junior Lorri Pitock (Naperville, Ill.) scored less than two minutes into the match.
The Lynx took control of the game with three goals in the second quarter. The Red and White added two more goals in the second half.
Rhodes held a 33-6 advantage in shots on Sunday, with 18 shots on net.
Junior Emily Binley (Suffolk, Va.) recorded a 10-save performance.
CUW also had sophomore Abby McGue (St. Louis, Mo.), junior Olivia Riemer (Ballwin, Mo.) and Lorri Pitock finish with a defensive save.
The Falcons will host Rhodes in the semifinal round of the SAA Tournament.
