RICHMOND, Ind. – The CUW field hockey team came up short in a defensive battle on Sunday afternoon in a 1 -0 loss at Earlham. The Falcons fall to 0-2 on the year.
The Quakers were able to score the lone goal of the day with 78 seconds remaining in regulation.
Earlham held a 13-9 advantage in shots and a 9-5 advantage in corners on Sunday.
Junior Lorri Pitock (Naperville, Ill.) led CUW with four shots against the Quaker defense.
Junior Emily Binley (Suffolk, Va.) posted four saves for the Falcons.
CUW opens the home portion of the schedule on Saturday against DePauw.
