DANVILLE, Ky. – The CUW field hockey team fell on the road at Centre on Saturday with a 7-0 loss. The Falcons fall to 4-6 on the year and 1-1 in the SAA.
The Colonels took an early lead with four goals in the first quarter.
The Yellow and Black added three more goals in the second quarter.
Junior Emily Binley (Suffolk, Va.) collected 24 saves in the match. The 24 saves are a program record.
Junior AnnaLyssia Abela (Dearborn, Mich.) led the flock with three shots. Sophomore Renee Lund (Vista, Calif.) had both of the Falcons' shots on goal.
Junior Olivia Riemer (Ballwin, Mo.) had two defensive saves on Saturday. Sophomore Abby McGue (St. Louis, Mo.) also had a defensive save.
The Falcons look to bounce back on Sunday against Roanoke.
