Field Hockey Obliterates Oberlin

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons offense overwhelmed the Yeowomen of Oberlin on Wednesday with an 8-0 victory. The victory sends CUW to 2-3 on the season.

Sophomore Caroline Slick (Spotsylvania, Va.) started the scoring with two goals in the first five minutes.

Senior Megan McPike (Mequon, Wis.) added the final goal of the first quarter off an assist to Caroline Slick.

Sophomore Sophia Vandeloecht (St. Louis, Mo.) started the second quarter scoring with an assist to sophomore Abby McGue (St. Louis, Mo.).

Junior Alex Klamm (Glen Carbon, Ill.), freshman Paige Armijo (Reseda, Calif.) and Lorri Pitock all scored in the second quarter.

Alex Klamm ended the scoring in the fourth quarter off a pass from Paige Armijo.

The Falcons outshot the Yeowomen on Wednesday, 36-1. Junior Lorri Pitock (Naperville, Ill.) led the flock with eight shots.

Junior Emily Binley posted another clean with one save on the victory.

The eight goals are the second-most in program history.

The goals for Sophia Vandeloecht and Caroline Slick were their first collegiate goals.

CUW returns to action on Saturday against Wooster.
