Women's Lacrosse stays undefeated with victory at Aurora

AURORA, Ill. – Concordia Wisconsin's record stayed unblemished on Tuesday afternoon with a 15-9 victory at Aurora. The Falcons had five players score multiple goals during the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference contest.

HOW IT HAPPENEND
- After Andrea Colford gave Aurora a quick 2-0 advantage five minutes into the game, the Falcons responded with four-consecutive goals during the next seven minutes. The Spartans answered with a goal, but CUW put together a string of six-straight goals to take control.
- Both teams traded goals in the second half, however, it was the six scores in a row by CUW during the 16 minutes of game time to end the first half and begin the second half that were the difference.
- Senior Sabrina Boehlke (Random Lake, Wis.) led all scorers with a career-high five goals and an assist. Sophomore Caitlin Henry (Lansing, Ill.) recorded a hat trick and won five draw controls.
- Freshman Lauren Paquin (Waukesha, Wis.) finished with two goals, three assists and four ground balls.
- Freshman Christina Pattengale (Portage, Mich.) and sophomore Maggie Goodman (Gurnee, Ill.) each tallied a pair of goals. Pattengale also picked up seven ground balls.
- Junior Veronika Metanova (Palatine, Ill.) made 11 saves in goal, picked up 10 ground balls and caused four turnovers, and the Falcons caused 19 turnovers – seven players caused multiple turnovers – that helped the visitors earn another victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Metanova's 10 ground balls set the program's single game record. Pattengale's seven ground balls were a career best and also tied for the eighth most in a game.
- Paquin's three assists were a career-high and tied for the eighth most in a game in program history.
- Goodman, Henry and Pattengale's offensive outputs were both career highs.

THE OPPOSITION
- Kenny Hughes led the Spartans with four goals and an assist, including two free-position scores. Andrea Colford added three goals and an assist, to go along with four ground balls, two draw control wins and a caused turnover.
- Taylor Arcivar led all defensive players with five caused turnovers.
- Allee Samuel made seven saves in goal during a complete game losing effort.

- The Falcons return to action on Saturday with a 12 pm MWLC contest at Loras.
