Volleyball announces summer camps

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin head coach Janelle Gabrielsen-Katz has announced her program will host five camps throughout the summer. Read below on the specific camps.

 

Click here for information regarding the CUW Volleyball Prospect Camp.

Prospect Camp is for volleyball players in high school looking to advance their skills from collegiate coaches. They will learn specific skill development, positional development and experience a typical collegiate practice schedule. Team play and mini tournaments will also be played.

Junior Falcons camp will focus on all-skill development and will work to improve all-around play. Each day will have a main focus on one skill (passing, setting, attacking, and serving) for the first half and then play for the second half.

Passing Camp is for those who want to develop their passing skills further. We will focus on advanced passing techniques and getting lots of reps on defense and serve receive. Our hope is to have our athletes leaving camp with a higher level of knowledge and confidence about their passing.

Attacking Camp is for those who want to develop their front row skills further. We will focus on the offense side by going over advanced attacking techniques including arm swing and approach work. We will also focus on the defense side by going over different blocking techniques. Our hope is to have our athletes leaving camp with a higher level of knowledge and confidence about their front row skills.

Setting Camp is for those who want to develop their setting skills further. We will focus on different setting techniques and getting lots of reps. Our hope is to have our athletes leaving camp with a higher level of knowledge and confidence about the setting position.
