Volleyball announces 2015 schedule

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin head coach Janelle Gabrielsen-Katz recently announced the 2015 schedule, which includes the Falcons hosting the eight-team NACC-IIAC Challenge Tournament.

The schedule features 29 matches, with 11 of those to be played inside the R. John Buuck Field House – the most since the 2008 season. CUW is coming off a program record 24 victories last season, which included a 10-1 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference record and a 7-2 record at home.

The Falcons begin the season with nine-consecutive matches on the road and will again play at the Concordia Invitational Tournament (hosted by Concordia Chicago) and the Pizza Hut Classic (hosted by UW-Oshkosh). CUW will begin NACC play on Tuesday, September 15 at MSOE at 7 pm.

CUW will unpack its bags and settle in for an eight-game home stretch starting on September 19 and ending on October 3. During that stretch they will compete in a home triangular with Maranatha Baptist and Lake Forest. On the September 25-26 weekend they will host the eight-team NACC-IIAC Challenge Tournament, with two courts playing four matches each day. The Falcons will also host Aurora and Concordia Chicago in back-to-back days (October 2-3).

The Falcons will also play three more home NACC matches during October before concluding the month at the Barker Classic (hosted by Illinois Wesleyan). In all, they will play 11 NACC matches. A year ago, CUW earned the No. 2 seed in the NACC Tournament.
