DECORAH, Iowa – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team fell short in a tight battle at Luther. The Vikings rallied to defend their home court with a 5-4 victory. The loss sends CUW to 14-5 on the year.

At No. 1 doubles, the dynamic duo of senior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and junior Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) secured an 8-3 victory.

Senior Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) and junior Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) picked up an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles to take the lead after doubles play.

Ricki Budewitz sank Sofia Sackett at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-4.

Ashley Samuta snapped Julia Moreno at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 4-6, 12-10.

The Falcons close the regular season on Wednesday against Carthage.
