MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's tennis team stands alone atop the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. The Falcons won their eighth NACC regular season title and their first since 2017 outright with a 9-0 victory over MSOE on Saturday morning.
Senior Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) and junior Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) swept away the Raiders at No. 2 doubles, 8-0.
Senior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and junior Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.
At No. 3 doubles, sophomore Cheyanne Phillips (Morris, Ill.) and sophomore Mya Werning (Watertown, Wis.) downed MSOE, 8-2.
Ashley Samuta swept Michaela Haensgen at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Mallory Moen also brought out the broom on court three with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Hope Triplett.
Sophomore Peyton Morgan (Arlington Heights, Ill.) also did not allow a point at No. 6 singles, with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Avila Berns.
Cheyanne Phillips flipped Brenna Sheehan at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
Mia Andrae overwhelmed the reigning NACC Student-Athlete of the Week, Bethany Noonan, 6-0, 6-1.
Ricki Budewitz boxed up Gabrielle Haensgen at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
The Falcons finish fall play with a perfect 9-0 record within the NACC and 9-2 on the year.
