Women's Tennis Grounds Greenville
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team closed spring-break action on a high note with a 7-2 victory over Greenville. The Falcons fly to 14-4 on the season with the victory.
Junior Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) and senior Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) took care of business on court three with an 8-3 victory.
The duo of senior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and junior Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) secured an 8-7 victory at No. 1 doubles to give the Falcons an early lead.
At No. 1 singles, Ricki Budewitz bashed Mireia Birosta, 6-2, 6-3.
Ashley Samuta burned Addison Brannon at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 4-6, 10-5.
Mallory Moen quieted Callie Adkins at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-2.
Sophomore Cheyanne Phillips (Morris, Ill.) crushed Stephanie Kamp at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-3.
The Falcons return to action on April 1 against Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Luther in Iowa.
