Falcon women travel to WLC for regular season finale
MEQUON, Wis.- Concordia Wisconsin's regular season finale will pit the Falcons against WLC in a makeup match this afternoon.
Wisconsin Lutheran has a 5-5-1 conference mark while Ryan Middendorf's team is 9-2-1. The Falcons are the #3 seed for the NAC tourney regardless of the outcome of this afternoon's match.
The defensive-minded Warriors allow only 1.2 goals per game behind goalie Kate Gucinski, a CUW transfer.
WLC Junior Maggie Smith leads the team in scoring with five goals while teammate Sarah Kolander has seven assists.
This year's Warrior contingent has a 8-7-3 overall record and has shown marked improvement.
The Falcons (13-4-0 overall) will be in action again on Saturday when they host Dominican at 1:00pm in the first round of the conference playoffs.
