Women's Lacrosse Claims IWLCA Academic Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced its 2024 Academic Honor Squads and Division III Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday afternoon.

The IWLCA has named 324 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2023-24 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

Concordia Wisconsin was one of three Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference schools to claim the title.

This is the seventh time that the Falcons have claimed the honor. They also did so in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2023.

The IWLCA honored 1,125 student-athletes from 201 different institutions on the 2024 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be junior, senior, or graduate students and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

The trio of senior Eliana Fuchs (Brookfield, Wis.), senior Anna Gong (Phoenix, Ariz.) and senior Savannah Schweiger (Eagle, Wis.) are claiming the honor for the second consecutive year.

Junior Brenna Bieniek (Shakopee, Minn.), junior Kami McCardle (Jackson, Wis.) and senior Abby McGue  (St. Louis, Mo.) are all securing the honor for the first time.

The six selections are the second most in program history. CUW landed seven selections in 2023.
