Four Falcons Claim All-NACC Honors
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its All-Conference Teams and major award winners for the 2024 women's lacrosse season on Thursday afternoon. The Falcons landed four selections, with Katelyn Cardinale on the All-NACC First Team, Ava Karlov and Eliana Fuchs on the All-NACC Second Team and Anna Gong claiming honorable mention honors.
A sophomore attacker from Mount Laurel, New Jersey, Katelyn Cardinale is claiming her second-straight All-NACC First Team honor. Cardinale led the flock with 65 points with a team-high 59 goals and six assists. She finished the season with 30 draw controls, 28 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. She finished with a program record of 11 goals at Augustana on March 9. Cardinale claimed the NACC Offensive Player of the Week honor on March 10 and April 21.
A senior midfielder from Brookfield, Wisconsin, Eliana Fuchs is appearing on her third-straight All-NACC Team with a second-team selection in 2022 and a first-team selection in 2023. Fuchs finished with 42 points with 25 goals and a team-high 17 assists. Fuchs also thrived in the draw circle with a team-high 71 draw controls. She also collected 43 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. Against Augustana, she had four goals and eight draw controls, she also had eight ground balls against Pacific. Fuchs was voted as the NACC Defensive Player of the Week on March 3.
A junior defender from Naperville, Illinois, Ava Karlov is collecting her first All-NACC honor. Karlov collected 23 ground balls on the season, caused 21 turnovers and scored three goals and three assists. She posted multiple-point performances with a goal and an assist against Augustana and Illinois Tech. She also caused four turnovers against Aurora and MSOE.
A senior midfielder from Phoenix, Arizona, Anna Gong is securing her second-straight NACC honor with a second-team selection in 2023. Gong stuffed the stat sheet in 2024 with 21 points on 15 goals and six assists, collected 44 ground balls and caused a team-high 35 turnovers. She caused six turnovers against Edgewood, and five against MSOE and Illinois Tech. She won nine draw controls against Illinois Tech and collected seven ground balls at Marian. Gong was named the NACC Defensive Player of the Week on March 24.
