Anna Gong Named the Best in the NACC

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athlete of the Week honors for women's lacrosse on Wednesday morning. Anna Gong was voted the NACC Defensive Player of the Week by the league's athletic communications professionals.

A senior attack from Phoenix, Arizona, Anna Gong is collecting the NACC Defensive Player of the Week honor for the first time this season and for the third time in her career.

At Lake Forest, she caused a turnover.

She stuffed the stat sheet against Elmhurst with five ground balls, caused three turnovers, scored three goals and an assist. She also won a draw control.

Kelly Hitchcock of Illinois Tech was voted as the NACC Offensive Player of the Week.

Gong and the Falcons return to action on Thursday against Pacific.
