Women’s Hockey travels to face Lake Forest on Tuesday

MEQUON, Wis. - Coming off their first loss in their last four games, the Concordia University Wisconsin women's hockey team will travel to Lake Forest, Ill. on Tuesday night to take on Northern Collegiate Hockey Association rival Lake Forest College.

Tuesday's game is set to begin at 7 p.m. at the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse. Live play-by-play commentary will be provided, and can be found here.

The Falcons and Foresters have already played once this season, with Lake Forest earning a 4-3 victory on November 8 at the Ozaukee Ice Center.

In what was a back-and-forth affair with the teams tied at 3-3 with five minutes left in regulation, before Lake Forest's Kim Herring scored the game-winner at 15:46 in the third period.

CUW (5-3-0, 4-2-0 NCHA) fell 3-1 to St. Norbert College last Wednesday, snapping a three-game win streak in which the Falcons had outscored their opponents 10-3.

Leading the Falcons so far has been the trio of senior Hilary Christiansen (Eagan, Minn.), freshman Emily Heckendorf (Merrill, Wis.), and senior Alyssa Isaackson (Marshall, Minn.), who have combined for 13 goals and 26 points overall.

Lake Forest (8-4-1, 7-2-0 NCHA) is coming off a two-game demolition of Finlandia University over the weekend, beating the Lions 5-1 on Friday before cruising to a 7-1 victory on Saturday.

Herring has been the Foresters' top playmaker so far, scoring 11 goals to go along with six assists.
