Falcon women best Muskies 71-61

A strong second half was the key to Concordia's 71-61 win over Lakeland this evening in the Buuck Field House.

The visiting Muskies were within 34-33 at the half but CUW pulled away behind Melanie Kulibert, who scored all 10 of her points after the break.

Kulibert was one of three Falcons (including Katie Luethe and Emily Wesley) who finished with 10 points. Tiffany Hendrickson (12) and Kendall Kerns (11) led the balanced CUW scoring.

Concordia was 13-15 from the free throw line and shot 48% from the floor while holding the Muskies to 35% accuracy.

Stacey Brunner-Jones' team (14-2) travels to WLC (13-2) in a North Division showdown on Thursday evening in Milwaukee.
