Falcon women lose to Wartburg 55-44
Platteville
Concordia (1-2) shot a miserable 27% from the floor in dropping a
55-44 non conference decision to Wartburg (3-0) Sunday afternoon in
Platteville.
The taller antagonists outrebounded CUW 41-34 and contested every
Falcon shot.
CUW came out of the gates strong (12-5 after 8 minutes) but then
went stone cold and never recovered.
Wartburg led 29-20 at the break and never let Stacey Brunner-Jones'
team make a run. Freshman Katie Luethe led the young Falcons with
a 14 point performance and added a team-high 8 rebounds.
