Falcon women defeat Alverno 71-60

Concordia never trailed in the process of improving to 3-2 in the
NAC with a 71-60 triumph over Alverno this evening in the Buuck
Fieldhouse.
CUW combined excellent balance offensively and a strong team
defensive performance to pull away to a 40-29 halftime lead.
The Inferno battled back to within 5 on several occasions in the
second half but never got any closer.
Tiffany Hendrickson (16); Katie Luethe (15); and Kendall Kerns (12)
led the Falcon scoring but reserves chipped in to add 6-8 shooting
from the field as Stacey Brunner-Jones team improved to 4-4
overall.
Shataya McComb was the game's leading scorer with 25 points for
Alverno and teammates Alicia Kontowski and Gabby Allen added 15 and
14 respectively. The remainder of Alverno's roster added only 6
other points.
One key to the outcome was Concordia's 43-31 rebounding margin.
