Meet the Falcons: Angela Steffen

MEQUON, Wis. – Over the past few weeks, CUW Athletics has been publishing a "Meet the Falcons" series to better know the support staff around the CUW Athletic Department.

This week, we conclude the series when we continue with our Director of Sports Medicine, Angela Steffen.

Job Title:  Director of Sports Medicine

How long have you worked at CUW:  13 years

Hometown:  Cedarburg, Wis.

Where did you go to college:  CUW

Your favorite thing about CUW:  Everything here is centered around the student's experience and value of his or her investment – which results in a caring, team-like culture from the Senior Administration down.

Why did you choose CUW:  I knew as a student-athlete here that this was a great place to be (as a student or an employee), so when provided the opportunity the start my career here it was an easy decision.

Favorite Food:  Mexican

Favorite thing to do outside of work:  Anything outside, family time, sports, exercise

Favorite Movie:  The Bodyguard

Favorite Professional Team or Athlete:  Milwaukee Brewers

Ideal Vacation Spot:  anywhere with a view

If you could have a super power what would it be and why:  the ability to give myself unlimited superpowers… obviously

Favorite memory in athletics:  ANY time ANY of our programs advance to the Big Dance, but top two:
As a student-athlete, being part of the first CUW Softball team to advance to the NCAA tournament in the history of the program. As a staff member, 2013 football season, NCAA playoff game (even if it was -10 degrees and I was seven month pregnant.
