Maycee Karpfinger Collects NACC Weekly Honors

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) released its weekly Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday morning. Maycee Karpfinger was voted as the NACC Offensive Player of the Week for women's volleyball, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.

A junior from Waukesha, Wisconsin, Maycee Karpfinger is claiming the honor for the first time this season and the second time in her career.

Karpfinger was named to the Illinois Wesleyan Classic All-Tournament Team last weekend. She averaged 3.79 points per set as the Falcons went 2-2 overall. Karpfinger posted 18 kills with a pair of service aces and five blocks (one solo) in a five-set loss to Illinois Wesleyan. She also had 13 kills and five blocks (two solos) in a midweek match against Carthage, 11 kills, three aces, and four digs against Rose-Hulman, and nine kills and four digs against Greenville. Karpfinger hit at least .464 in each of CUW's four matches during the week.

Karpfinger and the Falcons open NACC play on Wednesday against Edgewood.
