HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin dropped the opening set before winning the second and nearly taking a 2-1 lead in the match. After Dominican took the fourth frame it then led 5-1 early in the fifth and deciding set, which forced a Falcons timeout.
- Following a Stars kill, Concordia Wisconsin had enough and put together a 14-4 scoring run to stay undefeated in NACC play and win its ninth match in a row.
- It was also the first time since the middle of the 2013 season they won back-to-back contests by a 3-2 score.
- Senior Megan Mayer (Downers Grove, Ill.) led the Falcons with 15 kills to go along with a career-high-tying 22 digs and a career-best four blocks. Her 15 kills performance pushed her career total to 1,001, which makes her the fourth player in program history to reach the 1,000-kill plateau.
- Senior Kendall Stribling (Greenfield, Wis.) surpassed the 200 total block milestone in her career after recording a solo block and eight assisted blocks, while also smashing eight kills.
- Sophomore Makenzie Vertz (Mukwonago, Wis.) ended with 25 assists, 12 digs and four service aces. Sophomore Gabrielle Pavlik (Pewaukee, Wis.) tallied 12 kills and four block assists, while senior Arianna Richmond (South Elgin, Ill.) dug a career-high 28 attack attempts.
- Gabija Sinickaite led all players with 16 kills and Anastasia Labadessa had 27 assists for the Stars.
