Women's Volleyball chosen to finish second in NACC Preseason Poll

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin's Women's Volleyball program was selected to finish second in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Preseason Poll, in a vote by the league's head coaches and athletic communicators.

The Falcons are coming off a 19-10 overall record from a year ago and a 10-2 record in NACC play, which was good for second place.

Aurora was chosen to defend its NACC title with 21 first-place votes and 333 points, with Concordia Wisconsin coming in second with 310 points and five first-place votes. Dominican was third with 284 total points, Lakeland was fourth with 245 points, Wisconsin Lutheran was fifth with 221 points and Concordia Chicago came in sixth with 207 points.

Benedictine was seventh (190 points), Edgewood in eighth with 177 points, Marian ninth with 126 points, MSOE 10th with 114 points and Illinois Tech was in 11th with 78 points. Alverno and Rockford rounded out the poll with 48 and 33 points, respectively.

The Falcons open their season on the road against Chicago and Texas-Dallas at the Gargoyle Classic hosted by the University of Chicago on August 30. Their first home match is scheduled for September 18 against Lakeland at 7 pm.

The NACC's champion earns the league's automatic bid to the NCAA III Championship.
