Falcons cruise against Cougars

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons cruised past the Cougars for the second time this season in the Battle of Concordias. The Falcons extended their winning streak to six matches with the 3-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin hit the ball well on Saturday and finished with their second-highest hitting percentage of the year at .306. The Falcons defense also gave CUC issues, holding the Cougars to a -0.033 hitting percentage. The CUW defense finished with eight blocks.
- The Falcons were had eight players record a kill on Saturday. Senior Megan Mayer (Downers Grove, Ill.) led the flock with 12 kills.
- Serving played a key role in the success on Saturday. The Blue and White finished with five service aces, including two from junior Cristina Stinson (Aurora, Ill.) and freshman Sierra Lee (Kenosha, Wis.).
- CUW finished with eight blocks against the Cougars. Senior Kendall Stribling (Greenfield, Wis. and sophomore Olivia Richter (Naperville, Ill.) secured four blocks in the victory.
- Jaylynn Johnson led CUC with seven kills and recorded a solo block.
- Concordia Wisconsin has now won 10 of its last 11 matches.
- The Blue and White are 2-0 against Concordia Chicago in 2019. The Falcons defeated the Cougars on Aug. 31, in Illinois at CIT.
