Women's Tennis competes at USTA/ITA Midwest Regional, Gustie Invitational
SAINT PETER, Minn. – Concordia University Wisconsin competed in the USTA/ITA Midwest Regional and the Gustie Invitational, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College, on Friday and Saturday in singles and doubles tournaments.
Sophomore Amanda Ropiak (Franklin, Wis.) earned a 4-6, 6-1 (10-8) victory over Devon Paulsen (UW-Eau Claire), while senior Kristine Weber (Rochester Hills, Mich.) won a 7-5, 6-2 singles match over Maggie Gibson (Hamline). Both matches were played in the Gustie Invitational.
The Falcons faced difficult competition during both days and were unable to return home with more victories.
CUW returns to on Tuesday for its final Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference match of the season at Marian University at 4 p.m. The Falcons have already clinched a spot in the NACC Tournament, but their seed is still undetermined.
