Women’s Soccer races past WLC 6-0

MEQUON, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin scored three times in each half on the way to a one-sided 6-0 whitewash of Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday afternoon in Northern Athletics Conference play at Fitting Field.
Head coach Ryan Middendorf's team dominated to the extent of a 25-0 shot advantage over the course of the match.
Sophomore Hannah Brehmer (Eagle River, Alaska) scored the first two goals for CUW, one on a nifty assist from freshman Christine Teasdale (Edina, Minn.). Junior Lauren Straehler (Pewaukee, Wis.) made it 3-0 prior to halftime.
Second half scores were recorded by senior Kelli Wittenberg (Sturtevant, Wis.), senior Kelly Sippel (Fond du Lac, Wis.) on a penalty kick, and senior Renee Hecker (Harrison Township, Mich.).
Middendorf's Falcons improved to 8-2-0 in conference play and 9-5-0 overall. CUW travels to Marian University for a 7 p.m. match next Tuesday.
The Warriors are 2-13-0 on the season. WLC's Sarah Luebke was strong in goal with 13 saves.
