Women's Soccer hosts Edgewood Tuesday in NAC contest
MEQUON, Wis. - Head coach Ryan Middendorf
and the Concordia University Wisconsin women's soccer team are
looking to get back on track in Northern Athletics Conference play
after dropping their last two contests, both at home. The Falcons
host Edgewood College on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Fitting Field.

Despite falling in their last two outings to MSOE, 4-0, and Aurora
University, 3-1, the Falcons are still in second place with a 5-2-0
NAC record based on accumulated points. The Eagles have played
one fewer conference match.
Senior Renee Hecker (Harrison Township, Mich.) connected with
junior Lauren Straehler (Pewaukee, Wis.) for the Falcons only score
against Aurora with under 10 minutes to play. The goal was
Straehler's 10th of the season and it was Hecker's four assist of
the year.
In the latest NCAA (DIII) women's soccer rankings -- Oct. 3 -- CUW
dropped to 18th in the nation in scoring and is now averaging 3.5
goal per match. The Falcons are also ranked in four different team
categories. Individually, Straehler ranks in the top-71 in four
categories, including 29th in total points with 25.
Edgewood is 6-3-1 over its last 10 matches and has outscored its
opponents by a 13-5 margin in conference play. Overall, Elaine
Gerry has found the back of the net on 12 occasions, which is tied
for third in the NAC.
CUW returns to road for a two-match stretch beginning on Saturday,
Oct. 8, at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill. at 4:30 p.m.
