Middendorf’s booters host powerful Aurora Saturday

Mequon, Wis-The CUW soccer women, 5-1 in conference action, will face off against undefeated Aurora, 5-0-0 in league play at 3:30pm on Saturday.

The Spartans, undefeated one season ago, are defending NAC champions and boast the league's top offense. Lorelei Ritzert, Jordan Joyce, and Raquel Rodriguez have combined to score 20 goals and dish out 10 assists for high-powered Aurora.

Lauren Straehler (Pewaukee, Wis.) leads Concordia with 9 goals and 5 assists on the season. Hannah Brehmer (Eagle River, Wis.) and Kelli Wittenberg (Sturtevant, Wis.) have combined for ten other Falcon scores.

The Falcons will need to recover quickly from a 4-0 home defeat at the hands of MSOE Wednesday evening. Statistics were fairly even in that contest but the Raiders finished every opportunity while CUW appeared to become frustrated after several golden early scoring chances went awry.
