Bethel skates away with a win over Women's Hockey

ST. PAUL Minn.- Concordia Wisconsin's women's hockey team fought a hard battle against Bethel University on Saturday. The Falcons fall to 2-5-0 on the season.

Both teams kept each other scoreless throughout the first period. On track to repeat the previous period, Bethel was able to slip a goal into the net 14 seconds before the end of the second period. The score would stay 1-0 throughout the third period.

The Royals led the Falcons in shots 56-15. Sophomore goalie Sarah Varga (Janesville, Wis.) saved 42 of the shots on goal from Bethel.

Junior Emily Reimche (Billings, Mont.) led the Falcons with five shots on goal. Senior Avrielle Schneider (Gilbert, Minn.) followed with two shots on goal.

The Blue and White look to break the two-game losing streak against Marian on Friday, Feb. 5.
