Women’s Golf Finishes First Round of NACC Championships

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The women's golf team finished its first round of NACC Championships at Aldeen Golf Club in Rockford, Illinois.

The Spartans are the current leader posting a team score of 338 strokes on the first day.

The Falcons finished  fifth on the day with a team score of 394.

Both freshman Elizabeth Montaba (Plymouth, Wis.) and sophomore Rebecca Curly (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) led the Falcons with 96 shots.  This would tie them for 18th in the field.

Senior Gabrielle Flocco (Castle Pines, Colo.) came off the course with a par on the 18th hole to shoot an even 100 on the day.

Coming in right behind Flocco was senior Payton Dorn (Freedom, Wis.) with a day score of 102.  Hannah Conger, a junior from Davenport, Iowa, followed behind Dorn coming off the course with 122 strokes while freshman Kaylee McCarty (Adell, Wis.) would finish with a total score of 132.
