Women’s Golf Lands One in Top-Five to Place Third

FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The women's golf team finished their second round of competition on Saturday improving one team place and landing in third for the weekend. Wisconsin – Stevens Point won the competition with 735 strokes.

Captain and senior Gabrielle Flocco (Castle Pines, Colo.) put up two stellar days shooting a 180 on the tournament (92-88) landing her third overall in the field.

Freshman Elizabeth Montaba (Plymouth, Wis.) took second on the team posting day scores of 91 and 99 to tally 190 strokes and land her in 11th.  Montaba was followed closely by sophomore Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) posting 191 strokes (95-96). 

Senior Payton Dorn (Freedom, Wis.) took 33rd overall having day scores of 120 and 102 strokes for a total of 222.

Sophomore Kayla Samann (Campbellsport, Wis.) posted a tournament score of 229 strokes improving her day scores from 125 to 104 strokes.

The Falcons improved their team standing from fourth to third in round two and improved their team score from 398 strokes to 384 strokes.

The Falcons return to the course in a NACC preview event on Sunday September 19th at Aldean Golf Course in Rockford, Illinois.
