Falcons Finish the Wisconsin Whitewater Fall Invite

JANESVILLE, Wis. – The women's golf team competed in the Wisconsin Whitewater Fall Invite that showcased teams like Carthage and Judson as well as NACC opponents such as Wisconsin Lutheran and Aurora.

The tournament was won by Carthage posting a team score of 635 placing two in the top 10 as well as five in the top-20.

The Falcons were led by sophomore Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill) with a two-day score of 180 strokes that would be enough for 36th. Her round of 89 on Saturday was a personal-best score.  

In a close second behind Curley was senior Gabrielle Flocco (Castle Pines, Colo.) shooting 181 strokes on the weekend. She too recorded a personal-best round on Saturday.  Freshman Elizabeth Montaba (Plymouth, Wis.) recorded a final tournament score of 184 that would put her in third for the Falcon team.

Kaylee McCarty, a freshman from Adell, Wisconsin, finished the tournament with a score of 254 strokes, after recording her best collegiate round on Friday.

The Falcons return to the course on Friday for the NACC Championships in Rockford, Illinois.
