Men's Track and Field Bring in Academic Achievements
MEQUON, Wis. – Whether it's on the track, in the field, or in the classroom, the CUW men's track team is getting it done.
CUW men's track and field claimed the honor of NCAA Division III Men's Track & Field All-Academic Team as voted on by the USTFCCCA. The Falcons led the NACC in team GPA bringing in a 3.34. Junior, biomedical sciences major, Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) claimed the USTFCCCA individual All-Academic award. As part of the criteria to earn this prestigious honor, an athlete must rank in the top-50 in their event nationally. Cain placed 23rd in both indoor and outdoor shot put to qualify for this award.
This is the Falcons second appearance in two years as an All-Academic team while it is Cain's first time with the individual honor.
The Falcons will return to the classroom in the Fall to try and make it three for three next year.
