Men’s Track & Field Takes Third at Private School Championships

WAUWATOSA, Wis. – The CUW men's track & field team posted a top-three finish at the Wisconsin Private School Championships on Thursday afternoon. The Falcons finished with 78 points at the event held at Wisconsin Lutheran.

Junior Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) claimed two crowns on Thursday with victories at the shot put at 14.87 meters and discus throw at 43.02 meters.

Sophomore Seth Day (Sunset Hills, Mo.) secured the silver medal in the javelin throw at 40.33 meters.

Senior Preus Hasselbrook (Missoula, Mont.) won the bronze medal in the 100-meter dash at 11.82.

Freshman Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) crossed the finish line at 4:12.50 in the 1500-meter run in third place.

Junior William Ebel (Macomb, Mich.) earned a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run at 2:06.14.

Senior Samual Spranger (Fond Du Lac, Wis.) finished in fifth place in the high jump at 1.66 meters and in sixth-place in the 200-meter dash at 24.40.

Senior Paul Leahy (Eldridge, Iowa) reached 6.27 meters in the long jump in fifth place.

The triple jump saw Austin Thur secure a sixth-place finish at 12.33 meters.

Freshman Jack Ramstack (Colgate, Wis.) led the flock in the 400-meter dash at 54.93.

At pole vault, freshman Keegan Palm (Sycamore, Ill.) reached 3.00 meters in seventh place.

Senior Zach Larsen (Germantown, Wis.) finished eighth in the hammer throw at 33.30 meters.

CUW returns to action on April 10 at the Carroll Invitational.
