Men’s Track & Field starts the 2021 season

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The CUW men's track & field team opened the 2021 indoor track & field season on Saturday at Olivet Nazarene. The Falcons competed against athletes from Olivet Nazarene, Lewis and St. Francis.

Junior Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) recorded a third-place finish in the shot put at 13.96 meters. He was also fourth in the weight throw at 13.73 meters.

Freshman Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) was third in the mile run at 4:41.34.

Freshman Jack Ramstack (Colgate, Wis.) secured a third-place finish in the 600-meter run at 1:38.75.

Junior William Ebel (Macomb, Mich.) led CUW in the 800-meter run at 2:08.59 in sixth place.

Senior Paul Leahy (Eldridge, Iowa) finished in fourth place in the long jump at 5.95 meters.

In the 3000-meter run, freshman Richard Schaefer (Ingleside, Ill.) finished in fifth place at 9:58.89.

Sophomore Al'jarius Kelly (Fort Meyer, Fla.) clocked in at 7.45 in eighth place in the 60-meter dash. He was also seventh in the 200-meter dash at 24.61.

The Falcons closed the meet with a fifth-place finish in the 4x400 meter relay. The team of junior Josh Horst (Evansville, Ind.), Jack Ramstack, freshman Ryan Klug (Arlington, Va.) and sophomore Samuel Heling (De Pere, Wis.)finished at 3:58.38.

CUW will compete next on Feb. 20 at Ripon.
