Men’s Track & Field competes at Carroll

WAUKESHA, Wis. – The CUW men's track & field team competed once again in the 2021 outdoor season. The Falcons competed at the Carroll Alumni Invitational on Saturday and finished in seventh place with 37 points.

Seth Day secured the silver medal in the javelin throw on Saturday at 42.56 meters.

Junior Gideon Cain finished third in the shot put at 15.00 meters. He was also fourth in the discus at 42.00 meters and ninth in the hammer throw at 43.06 meters.  

Senior Samual Spranger led CUW with a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash at 52.63.

Sophomore Austin Lopez was eighth in the long jump at 5.50 meters.

Junior Preus Hasselbrook finished in fourth place in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:02.21 and in 11th place in the 100-meter dash at 11.69.

In the 800-meter dash, Emmett Williams finished in 14th place at 2:11.74.

The 200-meter dash saw Freshman Isaac Zahrt record a 16th-place finish at 25.79.

The team of Christian Prohl, Dane Tischendorf, Preus Hasselbrook and Samual Spranger finish second in the 4x400 meter relay at 3:32.67.

CUW returns to action on Thursday at Wisconsin Lutheran.
